Joe (89 years old) was called by our Lord to join his angels in Heaven on 1-12-2023. He is preceded in death by his wife Carmen C. Ortega and his only son Alberto Lopez Jr. He is survived by his Grandchildren: Jo-Al Jose Alberto Lopez (wife Stephanie) and Sofia Lopez, 3 great-grandchildren: Isabel Lopez, Jacob Lopez, and Lucas Lopez. Joe was a long-time native El Pasoan, a proud SEABEE, a retired Army/Navy Korean and Vietnam Conflict Veteran, a great baker, and a loving Grandfather, Great-Grandfather, and Uncle. Many thanks to his niece/God-daughter Debbie Kurtzrock, his brother-in-law Rudy Campos, and both their families for all their love and support over the years.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 31, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM with Rosary at 6:00 PM at Martin Funeral Home (West). 128 N. Resler Dr., El Paso, TX 79912.
Mass will be Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at 12:00 PM at Queen of Peace Catholic Church 1551 Belvedere St. El Paso, TX 79912. Following the mass will be the burial at 1:30 PM at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery with military honors.
