James “Sonny” Warwick, born in Wichita Falls, Texas, came to El Paso as a young boy. He graduated from Ysleta High School to enter the Navy at the age of 17. He served proudly in WWII, spending months and months at sea in combat. After returning to El Paso, he enjoyed a long career at Farah Manufacturing where he made life- long friends and was admired by all.
He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Yvonne Warwick, son: Dan Warwick, wife Sabine, daughters: Marylee Warwick- Jurecky, husband Steve, Laura Robertson, husband Dan, Suzanne Warwick- Avila, Ellen Warwick and Joan Warwick – Brooker, husband Ron. Nine grandchildren: Lauren Pena, Clay and Clint Warwick, James and Tommy Avila, McKenzie and Brody Moore and Jenna and Jake Jurecky as well as great grandsons, Sebastian Pena and Connor Warwick.
He enjoyed a good joke, a cold beer and, most of all, being with family. He was well loved and will be dearly missed.
