Ines Perez Rodriguez (Marin) 96, died peacefully on Saturday, January 28, 2017. She is survived by her husband, Angel C. Perez; daughter, Maria del Rosario Perez; son, Angel Perez, Jr. (granddaughters – Velia A. Gonzales and Noelle A. Perez); daughter, Teresa Perez; daughter, MSgt. Paula Perez (grandchildren – Victoria R. Meek and Staff Sergeant David E. Meek); sisters, Ramona Parga and Anita Rodriguez; brother, Salvador Rodriguez; and extended family. Ines was born in Iatan, Texas where she was raised by her aunt and uncle, Gaspar and Enriqueta Marin. She spent her youth in Camargo and Delicias, Chihuahua, dedicated to nursing. She proudly worked for the “Cruz Roja”, and was part of the on-site medical staff during the construction of the Presa Francisco I. Madero – “Las Vírgenes” (abt. 1945 – 1949) in Rosales, Chihuahua. By the ‘50’s she migrated to Juarez, Chihuahua and started a 40-year career in the clothing manufacturing industry of El Paso, Texas as a sewing machine operator at factories such as Farah Manufacturing and Levi Straus Co. By 1958 Angel and Inez moved to El Paso and raised their family. Ines was a dedicated and loving mother who instilled in her children a strong work ethic, a steadfast value of service, a respect for nature, and a deep devotion to the Catholic Faith. Visitation: February 1, 2017, 5:00-9:00pm at Hillcrest-Carolina, Vigil/Rosary at 7:00pm. Mass: February 2, 2017 at 10:00am at Sto. Niño de Atocha Catholic Church, Interment: Mount Carmel Cemetery.
