Hector Olivares

Hector Olivares, age 73, of El Paso, Texas passed away on Friday, October 11, 2024. Hector was born in Alamogordo, New Mexico and moved to El Paso when he was 11 years old and lived here for the rest of his life.

Hector is survived by his wife, Irma Olivares ; his sons Jason Olivares (Sara Stephanie Guerrero) and Christopher Granados (Kristy Granados); his grandchildren Riloh Olivares, Jordan Granados and Zachary Granados.

Hector was preceded in death by his son Alexis Olivares; his father Alfredo Olivarez and his mother Raquel Olivarez; his brother Alfredo Olivarez Jr; his nephew Eric Olivarez.

The family wants to thank the oncologist Dr. Shahinian and Mrs. Shahinian and their staff, Dr. Wu and Dr. Torres and Staff at WellMed, and Dr. Opawumi and Staff.

A visitation for Hector will be held Tuesday, October 29, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM with a vigil service at 11:30 AM at Crestview Funeral Home, 1462 North Zaragoza Rd., El Paso, Texas 79936. A funeral mass will be on Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at 12:30 AM at St Stephen Catholic Church, 1700 George Dieter Dr, El Paso, Texas 79936. Following will be the graveside service at 2:30 PM at Mt Carmel Cemetery, 401 S Zaragoza Rd, El Paso, Texas 79907.
