Gloria (Goya) Piñón born on April 19, 1935 passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2013. She was a lifelong resident of El Paso, Texas and was a member of San Antonio de Padua Catholic Church. Gloria was a self-employed Notary Public for 44 years. She retired in 2001. Gloria was a loving mother whom was survived by her son Ruben Piñón and daughter in law Elizabeth. She is also survived by her sister Elena Melendez, Ricarda Leal, Frances Davila; grandchildren: Natalie, Cecily, Matthew; 1 great grandchild: Alexandria Espeleta and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers for the service will be: Enrique Rocha, Louie Rocha, Eddie Piñón, Fred Vigil, Danny Davila, and Gilbert Villegas III. Gloria known to her family as “Tia Goya or Glo” will be loved, missed and always remember by her family. She was the “Heart” of the Piñón Family. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 9:00 pm on Tuesday, January 7, 2013 at Hillcrest Funeral Home-Carolina with a Vigil Service at 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be at 9:30 am on Wednesday, January 8, 2013 at San Antonio de Padua Catholic Church. Interment will follow at 11:00 am at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
