Mr. Gilbert Guerra, 66, passed away Wednesday April 24, 2013. Gilbert was a lifelong resident of El Paso. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Irma Angelica Guerra, brother, Andres Guerra Jr. and parents, Jesusita and Andres Guerra Sr. He is survived by his wife Carolina Guerra and sister Maria Elena Robinson; daughters: Leticia Guerra, Delia J. Guerra (Mario Padilla), Elizabeth L. Ramirez, Diana Angelica Guerra, Adriana M. Guerra, Alicia Lipowitz, Amanda Lipowitz, Juanita Gray (Gary Gray); son, Sergio Guerra, grandchildren: Josclyn Lipowitz (Carlos Flores), Daniella K. Gray, Michael Lipowitz, Monica Gray, Gilbert Ramirez, Siena Lipowitz (Andy Diaz), Arthur Ramirez, Adrian Padilla, Jacob Ramirez, Christopher Gray, Anthony Gray, Bryan Gray, Andie Elaine Padilla, Samantha Irma Ramirez, and Javier Elias Padilla and great grandchildren: Isabella “Blue” Flores, Audi Flores, Alize Diaz, Gilbert Aaron Flores, Analisa Diaz
Mr. Guerra owned and operated a successful company, Gilbert Guerra Plastering for over 30 years. He was hardworking, humble and blessed with generosity; for Mr. Guerra, God and family came first. His Strength and spirit were an inspiration to his family. His love of life and laughter will be missed. We are all better for having known him, and feel somewhat diminished by his passing.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 29th from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a Rosary Service at 7:00 p.m. at Del Angel Martin Funeral Home 3839 Montana Ave., El Paso, 79903. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, April 30th at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church, 4800 Byron Street, 79930. Pallbearers: Gilbert Joseluis Ramirez, Arthur D. Ramirez, Adrian Roberto Kristian Padilla, Jacob Henrie Ramirez, Arturo Guerra, Michael Lipowitz, William David Ramos, and Javier Elias Padilla. Burial in Restlawn Memorial Park.
