Beloved husband of Eugenia Torres, and father to Franklin James, Bertrand Mark and John Michael, he was born on December 27, 1937 in El Paso, Texas.
Francisco graduated from Bowie High School in 1956 where upon graduation, he enlisted in the U.S Army serving his country from 1957-1960.
He graduated from Texas Western in 1960, from which he received an undergraduate degree in Physics. And earned a master’s degree in Management from University of Redlands.
Upon graduation, Francisco and wife Eugenia moved to California where he established a successful career as an aerospace engineer - from 1964 to 1980 - for Rockwell International as part of the NASA Space Program.
He began his pursuit designing and developing radar/sonar systems, soon after advancing into the Apollo program. And most notably, managing the advancement and integration of flight systems in the Space Shuttle program.
In 1980 he retired from Rockwell International to return to his birthplace to launch a prosperous career in business and real estate.
Francisco is survived by his wife Gina of 61 years; sister Elsa; sons, Franklin James (Lourdes); Bertrand Mark; and John Michael (Shelly); grandchildren, Jacob (Sheena), Sean, Joseph, Leslie, Francisco, Alexander, Elijah, Benjamin, Bertrand, Bryant and Kayla; great grandchildren, Allison, Dylan and Thomas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Francisco was a man of high achievement, who held on to the noblest ideals determined by God’s grace. He lived his beliefs, he espoused those beliefs and personified those beliefs, all of which, will live on though his family.
