Elena Acosta

Elena Lujan Acosta “Nena”, age 79, passed away on September 29, 2015. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandma, aunt and friend. She is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years Jose Angel, daughter Maggie, parents Augustine and Juanita, grandmother Leonarda, brothers Manuel and Blas and sister Chonita. She is survived by her sons Mike, David (Ann), Leo (Sara), daughters Sylvia Klotz (Chris) Gloria, Alicia, brother Livorio, sisters Juanita and Dolores, eleven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. She retired from Ysleta ISD after 20 years of services as a cafeteria assistant. It is with great pride and sadness we send off our beautiful mother to heaven to join our father Joe and sister Maggie. Our mother was pure love and an angel walking on earth. She had a way of making each and every member of her family feel like they were the most important person on earth in her presence. We will miss her each and every day until we are united again. Thank you momma for the unconditional love you gave us all.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 4, 2015 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Vigil at 6:00 pm at Hillcrest Funeral Home 1060 N. Carolina. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, October 5, 2015 at 1:30 pm at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery.
