Douglas Leroy Laymon, 62, passed away on Friday, June 12, 2015 in Dallas, Texas. He was born on February 16, 1953 in Michigan City, Indiana to Carl and Wanda Laymon. Douglas served in the U. S. Army for four years at which time he received the National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal and Expert Badge (M16). He is survived by his wife, Rose Mary Laymon, sons: Douglas O. Laymon, David Laymon, Nicholas Laymon, daughter: Leslie Martinez, brother: Tommy Baker, sisters: Irene Bikos, Sophia Gasaway, Victoria Whitby and 10 grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 19, 2015 from 5 to 9pm at Hillcrest Funeral Home 1060 N. Carolina with Prayer Service at 7pm. Interment will be held at Fort Bliss National Cemetery at later date. Services are under the direction of HILLCREST FUNERAL HOME 1060 N. Carolina 598-3332.
