Courtney O’Meara was born November 15, 1982 and passed away March 23, 2021 in El Paso, TX. First and foremost she was a wife and mother. Oh, did she ever love her babies and took as a mother with the utmost grace and pride. She always looked to bring joy and enrichment to their lives.
Rick was her shining star and walked with her through their shortened journey, never leaving her side.
She worked as a high school science teacher where she brought teaching and her love of kids together to become one of those awesome examples of an unforgettable teacher and friend. She found humor and a go getter attitude to be her everyday companion.
She was born as Courtney Courreges and lived up to the name during her fight against cancer. She has held us all up and was so strong in her fight. Her contagious laugh and twinkle in her eye served to bring people together with joy in their hearts. She found humor in silly little things and added that sense of well-being to herself as well as others. She was able to bring strength into so many lives and used her sense of humor to lighten the burden so many people carry throughout their lives. She enjoyed life and family completely.
She was survived by her husband Rick, children Matthew, Olivia, and Madelynn, mother Judy, father Rene, three brothers with their wives Rene and Lourdes, Chris and Grace, Jason and Amanda, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and lastly a plethora of friends from all walks of life.
Viewing will be held April 13, 2021 from 09:00 to 12:00 at the Hillcrest Funeral Home, 1060 N. Carolina Drive, El Paso, TX 79915.
