Christopher Blake Jones

Christopher Jones was born on April 5, 2001 and entered into Heaven's door on October 15,2020. He was born to Sarah Jones Montelongo. Waiting at home following his birth were his two sisters Devon and Taylor Padilla. Chris was fortunate enough to call Tury Montelongo his dad. Tury loved his Perrito with all his heart and soul. Chris was known and loved by many names- Ejay, Boy and CJ. Chris was the first boy in his family and quickly became his great-grandfather's favorite. When talking about Chris he would always say - "Chris Ejay Jones, bad to the bone." Chris loved to play basketball from a young age, whether it was plying at Dandy and Uncle Robert's house, traveling with the Athletes for tournaments or finishing his high school career at America's High School. In Chris' early years of basketball his parents- Sarah and Tury coached him, until his skill level exceeded theirs. He loved the game! When not playing, Chris could be found hanging out with his nieces- Kasandra, Mia and Londyn. Or with his Eastside nieces- Maddie, Alanna, Audry, and Ava. Kassie and Maddie wore cheerleader uniforms to cheer for him at his games- "Go, Tio." Chris loved life, from hanging out with family and friends, taking his first trip to Disneyland when he was 9 years old, getting to go to the NCAA Final Four Basketball game with Alyssa and Dandy to enjoying the "all you could drink' virgin Pina Coladas in Cancun. One of Chris' hobbies was cooking. If he could find it on YouTube, he could make it. Who knew that this teenage athlete could prepare chimichangas or cook the family chicken parmigiana. For those who were lucky enough to have known Chris, you knew that he lived his life every day and he did it his way. Christopher was a spunky kid who would always catch you off guard with his sarcastic sense of humor and smile. How he enjoyed a good laugh. Chris had one of the biggest hearts and cared for so many whether it was said or by a hug or even a text message with a smile, Chris loved you. Every text/conversation regardless of whether he was happy or upset with you, ended with 'Love You" and he insisted that you tell him "Love you, too." The truest picture of his love for others was his being an organ donor. Because of this love many others will live on. Chris' life was cut short, but we know that he was met at heaven's door by his loving great grand-father EJ and "grandpa Ales." Chris would want everyone to continue living their life, because he would. He can now play basketball all day with friends that were lost along the way. Chris is survived by his mom -Sara, father -Tury, sisters- Devon and Taylor. Nieces Kasandra, Mia and Londyn. His Eastside family - Dandy and Robert Morales, Rebekah Menier, Jason Morales and Alyssa Morales. Grandparents James Jones and Georgia Jones, Cecilia Montelongo, aunts, cousins and friends who loved him dearly.
