Celia G. Hinojos

Celia Guadalupe (Carlos) Hinojos 1930-2016, 86, passed away peacefully Sunday, July 17, 2016. She was born in Smeltertown to Guadalupe & Gonzalo Carlos. She is preceded in death by her parents, along with her brothers Rogelio Sr; Claudio, Alejandro, Gonzalo Jr; niece Andrea Carlos, nephews Alejandro, Javier, Caleb, Daniel and Reinaldo Carlos. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Amador Hinojos Jr; daughter Monica Hinojos-Venzor (Rene), step-children Martha Sanchez, Jaime Hinojos, brother Juan Carlos Sr. (Ana), Salvador Carlos Sr.(Josefina), grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was a member of the Catholic Church. She loved to cook, bake and feed whoever came through her door. Pallbearers: Armando Carlos, Gilberto Carlos, Arturo Carlos, Juan Carlos Jr; Rene Venzor, and Juan Lorenzo Guzman Jr. Honorary Pallbearers: Juan Carlos Sr; Salvador Carlos Sr; Rogelio Carlos Jr; Leopoldo Carlos, Hector Carlos, Salvador Carlos Jr; Jose Enriquez, and Henry Castillo. Thanks go to the staff at Choice Hospice for their assistance. Visitation: Friday, July 22, 2016 from 5:00-9:00pm at Hillcrest Funeral Home with a Rosary to be held at 7:00pm. Funeral Mass: Saturday, July 23, 2016 at 9:00am at Santo Niño de Atocha, 210 S. Clark with Interment to follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery, 401 S. Zaragoza Rd.
