Dear My husband Carlos

As I write these words, my heart aches with the longing to reach out to you, to share the depths of my soul, and to feel your presence once more. It has been five years since you departed from this earthly realm, leaving behind a void that cannot be filled by anyone or anything.

My sincere condolences to the Martinez family.  Charlie and I were stationed at Camp Walker in Taegu, Korea 1983-84 and even re-enlisted to stay another year.  So many great memories!! This picture of he and I is from the 'yearbook' that was published for the members of the 293rd Signal Company in 1983. 

My sincere condolences to the Martinez family. I'm saddened to hear about Charlie's passing. My memories of him go back to 3rd grade at Sageland Elementary and Bel Air High and how much we used to laugh at almost everything. The last time we connected was about 7 or 8 years ago via internet. He was a  genuine guy and good friend all those years ago. Rest in peace, brother. 

I am deeply saddened by Charlie's passing. Uncle Charlie was my dad's best friend. He was there for me after my dad passed away too many years ago. I'll never forget his kindness and beautiful spirit. My most sincere condolences to his family and friends. I hope you and my dad are being reunited. I love you Uncle Charlie! 

I met Charlie in Korea and was surprised when I found out he was from my hometown. My condolences to his friends and family. 

Charlie was a good a person to know. Our unit it Korea was tightknit and I had the pleasure of knowing him for 5 years. I am sorry for your loss.


Condolences to the Martinez family; may God rest your soul Charlie! I first met "Charlie" while assigned to the Communication facility at Hoenstadt Germany and later worked together in Taegu Korea! Gone far too soon,  he was a great guy with a big heart, great sense of humor and always worked hard and played hard. Peace of Christ be with  your family as you grieve your loss.

A wonderful person. Gone too young. We shared some fantastic adventures in Korea... road trips to TDC, table surfing in the OB club, midnight tree trimming ops, roof top parties, and thunder runs. 

My heartfelt condolences to the Martinez family. I had the honor of working with Charlie at the Taegu Tech Control in the Republic of Korea. Charlie was one of the smartest and hardest working guys I knew. As much as Charlie worked hard, he also knew how to have fun. He had the respect and admiration of every member of the Tech Control and all of our civilian technicians as well.  His heart was as big as his smile and his sense of humor kept even the grumpy folks laughing. Charlie will be missed. 

My deepest heartfelt condolences to Charlie’s family and friends. I had the pleasure of knowing him through mutual friends. Enjoyed hanging out and going on motorcycle rides. We joked that we were paisanos because I was also from El Paso. We will always remember him fondly and all those pics of him sticking out his tongue.

May the good lord give Charlie's family the strength to get through this great loss. Remember the fond memories we all had with him. He is no longer in pain and is along side his maker.

With a heavy heart my condolences go out to Charlie's family , friends and to all those who knew him closely. Me and Charlie grew up together from a young age I have nothing but good memories!!He joined the US ARMY about 3 months before I did. He went on to retire as I only served 3 years. For that I want to thank him for his service to his country. Rest in piece my Brother.

I remember Carlie been a little butter ball running around the street playing with all of us in the neighborhood, back then we all were a lot of kids. We all play kick the can, hided seek, baseball, we were all about been outside all the time and getting into trouble by our parents. But it was all fun back then Charlie will be missed Love you, Will seen you soon

Very sad to learn of Charlie's passing.  He and I served together in South Korea, 1995-1997, with the DISA PAC Field Office at Yongsan AG in Seoul.  He was always ready to work and ready to help and could turn his hand to anything and make it work.  He will be missed.  God Bless.

My condolences to Charlie’s family and all whose lives he touched. Charlie and I worked together often over a twelve year period when we were both in DISA PAC field offices and at PAC headquarters. I pray that his soul is at peace and that God will bless all that mourn this tragic loss.

I had the pleasure of meeting Charlie when he worked at DISA PAC in Hawaii.  He was really a fun, good person.  My thoughts and prayers are with his family...heaven has a good soldier.

Words cannot express my sadness.  I worked with Charlie at DCA PAC and always remembered him as a  co-worker who was always there to help me out.  My thoughts and prayers are with the Martinez family during this difficult time.

My sincere condolences to Charlie' Mom, daughter,  brothers,  sisters and extended family and friends.   He spoke so lovingly of his daughter.   We all have wonderful memories and may we find our comfort in them.   I have known Charlie since I was 13 and throughout the years when we connected he was always fun to be with,  kindhearted, giving and loved his family.   Our teenage years and sporadically in these past 8 years, we had some amazing times.     He also loved our country so he enlisted in the army and retired after all those years of service. Our condolences to Charlies Family. I was going to ask my brother Mora for us to stop by and visit him on July 3rd which is my brothers birthday but we ran out of time. I remember him as a good and kind hearted guy from the Sageland Barrio. He left for the Army and I left to the Navy and did not see each other again.
