On February 9, 2023, Blanca Prieto Arias, a woman full of strength, laughter, and love left this earth surrounded by her family, to join her husband Fred in eternity. She was a cherished, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and loved by an abundance of family and friends.
A native of El Paso, Blanca worked as a bookkeeper at El Paso Drug after graduating from Bowie H.S. She was a successful businesswoman, and it was there she met the love of her life, Fred Arias. They married in 1955. Their 57 years of marriage were marked by playfulness and filled with laughter, dancing, travel, and many trips to St Jude’s. Their marriage is a legacy to all that knew them; they adored each other and dedicated their lives to their beloved family. While raising her family, Blanca actively served the community by participating in local elections and was proud of her sales accomplishments representing World Book encyclopedia.
Blanca will be deeply missed by her children, Jo Ann Arias and spouse Cindy Keller, Fred Arias, Jr., Annette Boring and partner David Williams, Diana Arias and partner Micki Lowe, all of whom she cherished. She will also be missed by her grandchildren who she adored, Heather, Michael, and Jonathan Arias, Hannah, Moriah, and Naomi Boring. Blanca had the joy of knowing her only great-grandchild Leila and will be missed by Coco her chihuahua.
Blanca will always be remembered for her strength, intense love for family, zest for life and her fun loving, playful spirit.
A visitation for Blanca will be held Monday, February 20, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Crestview Funeral Home, 1462 North Zaragoza Rd, El Paso, TX 79936. A rosary will occur Monday, February 20, 2023 at 6:00 PM, 1462 North Zaragoza Rd., El Paso, Texas 79936. A funeral mass will occur Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at 1:00 PM at St Raphael Catholic Church, 2301 Zanzibar Rd, El Paso, Texas 79925. A graveside service will occur Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at 2:30 PM at Fort Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson Ave, El Paso, Texas 79906.
