Beda Prieto

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, grandfather and great grandfather, Beda Prieto Orvañanos on December 2, 2024. He was born in Nuevo Casas Grandes, Chihuahua to Nazario L. Prieto and Natalia Prieto.

Beda’s life was defined by his love and dedication to his family and friends. He worked as a truck driver locally and later as a long distance driver making weekly trips to Dallas and Memphis. He had a profound love for his ranch, cattle and race horses. He was a very charming man with a cheerful disposition and had a great zest for life. His laughter and warmth created a lasting impression on everyone he met leaving behind cherished memories that will last forever. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and those who were fortunate enough to share in his journey. While we grieve his loss, we find solace in knowing that his spirit will live on in our hearts and in the countless lives he touched.

Left to cherish his memory are his children: son Beda, Jr. (Cynthia), daughter Deborah Y., son Sergio O. (Bertha) and daughter Belinda; four grandchildren: Monique, Mark, Michael (Lilliana) and Beda III; three great grandchildren: Liam, Matthew and Leland; and siblings: Nahum (Rosella), Luis Fernando (Rosario), Rene O. (Josefita), Alma Rosa (Javier) and Nazario L. (Emilia) and countless nieces and nephews.

Beda was preceded by his wife, Ramona Prieto, parents, Nazario L. Prieto and Natalia O. de Prieto, sister Maria Francisca Prieto de Saenz and little sister Natalia Yvonne Prieto.

The Prieto family would like to thank everyone for your condolences and prayers as we will miss Beda immensely. He will forever be with us in spirit and mind. May he be at peace in heaven with his family. Beda, you will always be loved, remembered and cherished. We love you and will always be in our prayers.

A visitation for Beda will be held Tuesday, December 10, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Hillcrest Funeral Home, 1060 North Carolina Drive, El Paso, TX 79915. A rosary will occur Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at 7:00 PM, 1060 North Carolina Dr., El Paso, Texas 79915. A funeral mass will occur Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at 9:30 AM at St Raphael Catholic Church, 2301 Zanzibar, El Paso, Texas 79925. A graveside will occur Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Mount Carmel Cemetery, 401 S Zaragoza Rd, El Paso, Texas 79907.
