Barbara Ann Wasiewski, loving wife, mother, gram, sister, and friend passed away on January 31, 2011. Born in El Paso, Texas to Charles and Rosary Brown on December 22, 1938. She was a homemaker most of her life, but opened the first Mervyn’s in El Paso and worked in sales for over a decade. She is survived by her loving family, husband Richard Wasiewski, two daughters Deborah Wasiewski Panos and Monica Wasiewski Daw, two sons Michael and Paul Wasiewski, seven grandchildren, Katherine Panos Torres, Nickholas Panos, Drake Wilcox, Seth and Jocelyn Daw, Emilee Ann and Rebecca Wasiewski. She is also survived by six sisters, Monica Brown Fikes, Rita Brown Duckworth, Martha Brown Barkley, Evelyn Brown Hartley, Sharon Brown Hogue, and Brenda Brown Perkins, and several nieces and nephews. Proceeded in death by her two brothers, Charles and Tom Brown, and sister Rosemary Brown Uribe. She enjoyed cooking for her family, gambling with her friends, and attending many of her grandchildrens’ activities. She was loved by many and will be deeply missed as she dedicated her life to family and friends. A memorial service will be held on February 4, 2011 at 10:00am to 12:30 at Martin Funeral Home East followed by gravesite service at Fort Bliss Cemetery.
