I am incredibly grateful for all the memories and time I was able to share with my great-grandma. I even had the chance to come all the way from Japan and make some good final memories with you before you found peace in a better place, which I thank God for dearly. I’m glad you’re able to rest now after everything you’ve done for the family. You deserve to relax in heaven with our other loved ones and let us take the reigns from here :). We will never forget all of the love you poured into all of our hearts and thank you so much for everything you did to raise my dad, my tias and tios, and my nana. All of the things you put into them will continue to flourish and stem to the rest of our family, and I hope you can see all the work you did continue to turn into a family who is very loving and caring for one another. We all have a piece of you in our hearts, from your funny grandma moments to all the good stories of you getting onto all of the pinedas for being troublemakers. You were a big part of many people’s lives and we will always remember you for all the good things you did for us and for all of the love you have for us as well. We love you very much grandma, and may you rest in peace and watch over us through our good and our bad.

Aunt Butter you were always the sweetest, kindest Tia to me and I am so grateful my baby was able to receive your love as well.  It meant a lot.

I remember all our family trips to see Tia Aurora & family.  And Tio Dolores player the guitar , Tia Aurora , Minnie & Oscar my parents sing .  Getting lessons on cooking went visiting.  Tell us how they all shared dresses.  Going to the dress shop drawing / copying the style. Then go home &make their own patterns of the dress on News paper or brown paper sacks.  Waking to school bare footed & carrying their shoes so they last longer. And some of their cooking mistakes. Made som biscuits, that at first were ok to eat .  But by the next day hard as a rock, and found their brother using them to throw at each other like rocks!

My favorite memories with grandma was when she would do my hair when I was younger, I'd always call the water spray the ps ps because I didn't know what it was called at the time :)

No words could ever say all the things that I want to say about what a wonderful mom you have been to me and my family. God truly blessed us with you. I thankful for always being there through good and bad. I hear songs that remind me so much of my dad playing his guitar and you singing along with him like Prisoniero de tus brazos among many others. Everytime I hear those songs now I will know you are both together in heaven and singing together again. Thank you madre for everything you did for me, my kids and grandkids. You truly left us with many many memories. Love you and miss you mucho.

As sad as all of her family and friends are now that she is no longer with us, she put so much love in our hearts and gave us so many beautiful memories that we will still get to hold onto and cherish for the rest of our lives. My favorite memory of you is coming to your house for Sunday grandma visits. She always made us her famous enchiladas and her spicy salsa that everybody tried make but nobody could make it quite like her. We used to get all of the family together for our annual tamaladas. We spent summers in her yard as she watched us play soccer and football in the Cul de Sac against all the tíos. Thank you for all of the love and happiness that you have put into our hearts grandma. My family and I would not be who we are today without you. We will miss you until the day that we get to join you in God’s beautiful kingdom. May you, Pop, and the rest of our family there continue to watch over us until then.

My grandma was the most loving grandma, even when we didn’t behave.  We were the first grandchildren (4).  If we got spanked there was always a hug after.  If we did bad in school, there would  always be extra reading to do after school (readers digest) with a quiz.  Good manners and prayers always belonged at the table before we ate. And we learned about hard work pulling weeds for our 25 cents for popcorn pickle money.  I keep all these lessons in my heart still to this day.  BEST GRANDMA (Rick )

Some of my best memories of my grandma was her cooking after church at Pop and Grandmas house.  ALL of my grandmas chile was 10/10 HOT!  In everything! Enchiladas, Colorado, Caldo, and especially her menudo.  It was the kind you had to keep eating or you would burn up.  Nobody made spicy Mexican food like her, and her food brought everyone together every Sunday.  Sometimes I’d get a special request like chile con queso!
