Tony was a Professional Civil Engineer and devoted Catholic. He was born on May 12, 1929 in El Paso Texas. He attended El Paso High School. After graduation he served in the Navy and subsequently the Army. After his return from war, he met his beautiful lifelong soulmate Elodia (Lodi) Perea and he attended Texas Western College where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering degree.
Tony and Lodi married in 1950 and had three sons and a daughter.
He was employed by many engineering firms and then decided to take the leap and start his own firm in 1971. Conde Associates began to thrive, and later it became Conde Inc., a company that has been in business for 50 years.
His engineering firm was the passion of his life. He worked tirelessly to provide his clients the best engineering services possible. At the same time, he was constantly devoted to service to people for the betterment of his community. He was an officer in numerous Boards, Associations, and Non-Profit Organizations.
Main Awards: National Aeronautics and Space Administration “Apollo Achievement Award” for being a member of the team… for the Apollo 11 first landing on the moon July 20, 1967.

He was a lifelong member of Northeast Rotary Club, the Granaderos, Roncalli, Museum of Art Officer and board member St. Margaret’s Children’s home, San Juan Orphanage, and other organizations too numerous to mention.
He was a member of TSPE, ASCE and numerous Civic boards including City Planning Commission, Mountain Development committee, Subdivision and Drainage Ordinance rewrite committees, as well as, El Paso Association of Builders, Optimist Club, UTEP Alumni Association, Chamber of Commerce to name a few.
Tony was extremely devoted to his family and instilled a vigorous work ethic, Love for God and Country and ethical behavior in all matters. His favorite thing to do at the Christmas gathering was read “The night before Christmas” story to all his offspring and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife Elodia, his mother Maria, his father Francisco, and sister Lucy, as well as his son Tony R. Conde II. He is survived by his children Yvonne, Ron and wife Christi, Conrad and wife Becca and Kathy Conde. The grandchildren Tony III and wife Sandy, Marcus, Phoenix, Riane and husband Mike, Barrett, Alex, Laneige, Kira, Conrad Jr, Aja, Samantha, Great Grandchildren: Breeann, Manny, Maya, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Due to COVID-19 the prayer services will be limited to immediate family at Martin Funeral Home West on Wednesday February 17th at 6:00 p.m. and internment at Evergreen East the following day. In lieu of flowers please send donations in his memory to Saint Vincent De Paul Society.
