Alfredo Villa, 80, passed on March 10, 2018. He was born and raised in Edinburg, Texas. Mr. Villa is survived by his wife Irmina Villa, sons Daniel (Kathy) Jorge (Melissa) Villa and daughter Susana Villa. He had 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers Fr. Eduardo Villa, Jose (Delfina) Villa, sisters Veronica (Jake) Perez, Candelaria (Monce) Miramontes, Hortencia (Oscar) Salazar and Petra (Jose) Ramirez. Mr. Villa was preceded in death by his parents Daniel and Martina Villa.
Alfredo Villa moved to El Paso, Texas after graduating from Edinburg High School and after serving his country as a member of the United States Army. He returned to visit the Valley many times because he had a great love for his “Valle” and his friends and family. He was very proud to be a “Bobcat forever” and having been a member of the Edinburg High School Bobcat Band. He was especially proud to have served his country and volunteered many years at the Veterans Hospital and veterans organizations in the El Paso area. Funeral services were held at Hillcrest Funeral Home and Cristo Rey Catholic Church in El Paso, Texas, followed by military funeral at Fort Bliss National Commentary.
