Van was born on October 5,1957 in Fayetteville, Arkansas to Edward R. and Betty Darden Janway. Van was a graduate of Louisiana Tech University with a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering. He worked for several petroleum engineering companies, including Phillips Petroleum, Hunt Petroleum, and Petro Hawk, before retiring from Brammer Engineering in 2019.
Survivors are his parents Ray and Betty Janway; sons Ryan Thomas Janway (Laura) and Trey Allen Janway; a brother Neal W Janway (Gaila); nieces Erin Hayes (Eric) and Lauren Stanton (Jared) and nephew Joshua Janway.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M. Monday, November 21, 2022 at Lisbon Church Cemetery in Lisbon, Arkansas. A visitation will be held one hour prior to service time.
