Shelli was a 1984 graduate of Warren High School and attended University of Arkansas of Monticello and Baylor University. She was predeceased by her father Woodliff Harvard Stroud, her nanny Kathleen McDonald, her granny Nina Stroud Monroe and stepson Billy Wayne Cross.
Shelli was an entrepreneur who had a passion for serving others. As a co-founder of Cross Roofing & Sheet Metal, owner of Rascals and Elm Street Bakery (E&R Bar & Grill), Cross Property & Management, owning numerous rental properties in El Dorado, West Main Plaza which housed the annual Christmas tree for all to see and celebrate. Her passion for decorating showed through Seasons Home Décor for several years. She dearly loved El Dorado and worked every day to improve the city.
Shelli is survived by her parents, Lola Colson Maroney and Victor Mac Maroney. She is also survived by her children Morgan Cross Hooks (Blake), Robert Lee Cross (Maria), fiancé Clay Rice, sister Lisa Sutton Carlan (Randall), half brother, Steve Stroud, stepbrother Marc Maroney, stepdaughter Hollie Cross White, grandchildren Anna-Leigh, Logan, Elina and Lillian, niece Meagan Carlan Hardesty (Cliff), and several aunts, uncles and friends.
The celebration of Shelli Stroud Cross’ Life will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 30, 2024 in the chapel of Young’s Funeral Home in El Dorado, Ar. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Crossroads Baptist Church Cemetery in Warren, Ar under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors.
