Richard "Duck" Williamson, 55, of Junction City and formerly of Natchitoches, Louisiana, passed away Tuesday, November 5, 2024, following a brief illness. He was born on November 2, 1969, to James Larry Williamson and Virginia Kay Smith Williamson.
Duck was always an avid sports fan. He played football and baseball in high school, and softball for many years after. He was an avid LSU football fan, attending games as often as possible. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. His favorite past time was being with people and cracking jokes.
While in Natchitoches, Duck worked for International Paper Company and was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. He was also a proud member of the Krewe of Dionysos where he served as a former Duke.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Kay Smith Williamson.
Survivors include his father, Larry Williamson; daughter Hunter Lewis (Shelby); special bonus children, Stormie Harville (Dalton), Cole Albritton, Aubrea Malone (Ned), and Claire Worm; sister, Lara Robbins (Michael); brother, Jonathan Williamson; grandchildren, DaLayni Lewis, Bristol Lewis; nephew, William Robbins; niece, Sara Robbins; special aunt, Carolyn Albritton; his 4-legged companion/child, Boudreaux; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
A memorial service will be held at a future date. Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Young's Funeral Directors.
