She was a Christian and Republican. Peggy loved her farm, her dogs, cats, pygmy goats, and “Katie” the donkey. Peggy was a retired registered nurse for the Texas Department of Health.
Proceeding her in death are her parents; sister, Maxine Orr; and nephew, David Wright.
Survivors include her two brothers, B.I. Bell, W.K. Bell (Pam), two sisters, Ivie Jean Martindale, Robbie Garabedian; five nieces, Donna Bourgeois (Bernie), Tandy Schwartz (Richard), Jacquita Hayden, Gara Garabedian, and Janie Thomas (Chris); four nephews, Jerry Debo (Doris), Dennis Bell (Susan), Al Wilson (Leah Jo), and Jason Bell; double first cousin, Tommie Faye Bell Strickland all of El Dorado; friends, Sandra and Sam Jeans of Strong, Juanita Cloud of El Dorado.
A celebration of Peggy’s life with remembrance by family and friends will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 30, at Young’s Chapel. Burial will follow at Burns Ebenezer Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors. Visitation will begin at noon until service time.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jason Bell, Judd Bourgeois, Wade Bourgeois, Vance Debo, Chris Thomas, and Cody Wilson. Honorary pallbearers will be Bernie Bourgeois, Sam Jeans, Richard Schwartz, and Al Wilson.
