Karen was a member of the El Dorado First Assembly of God Church, where she played many roles and touched many lives over the years. She always had a kind word and could brighten a room with her infectious joy. Karen could bring laughter in any situation. She was an encourager and prayer warrior, she brought matters to the Lord in her own unique way. She was an excellent cook, who never met a challenge in the kitchen, and she was a gracious host when entertaining friends in her home. She considered one of her greatest honors, being Mom to Nathaniel and Sarah and wife to David. Karen will be greatly missed by every life that she impacted.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Woodie J. Hogan; her father; father-in-law, Herbert W. Henry; mother-in-law, Theresa E. Henry; stepmother-in-law, Franziska L. Henry; and brother-in-law, Kevin Kelley.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 41 years, David Henry; son, Nathaniel D. Henry both of El Dorado; daughter, Sarah E. Henry of Hot Springs; her sister, Michelle Kelley of Kansas City, MO; brother-in-law, Stephen Henry of Wichita Falls, TX; nephew, Kyle Kelley; niece, Shawn Kelley both of Kansas City, MO; and a ton of friends that she considered family.
Visitation will be held Monday, October 4, 2021 from 6:00 p. m. to 8:00 p.m. at El Dorado First Assembly of God Church.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. in El Dorado First Assembly of God Church with Rev. Chris Cleveland, Rev. Ronnie Morris and Rev. Greg Tucker officiating.
Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Young's Funeral Directors.
