Bobby was born February 13, 1942 in Baton Rouge, LA; he was the son of Ray B. and Kelly Curtis Zeigler. Bobby was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church and a 4th degree member of The Knights of Columbus. He retired from Frito-Lay after 35 years. Bobby had a servant’s heart, a love for the Lord, and for his Holy Redeemer Church where he volunteered countless hours, and even was on the church staff for 5 years in parish life and building/grounds maintenance. Bobby enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with friends, family and strangers, who fast became friends; he also served as Boy Scoutmaster of Troop 100 for several years.
Bobby was preceded in death by parents, his in laws Curtis and Edna Bergeron. Survivors are his wife Janice Bergeron Zeigler; sons Bobby Zeigler Jr of Aledo, TX, Tony (Debbie) Zeigler of Hamburg, David (Laura) Zeigler of Marshall, TX, John (Gina) Zeigler of Smackover; his brother Ronnie (Carla) Zeigler of Phoenix, AZ; along with 12 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Sunday, December 19, 2021 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Young’s Funeral Directors followed by a Rosary Service.
Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 20, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church with Father Edward D'Almeida officiating. Urn entombment will follow in the Church's Columbarium.
