Barbara Taylor

She was born February 17, 1935 in El Dorado, AR to J.T. Van Hook and Maudie Edwards Van Hook. Barbara was a homemaker and a very good one. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother; fostered children, was a great cook, an artist and enjoyed her flowers. She was a member of the Antioch Church of Christ in Spearsville, LA.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bennie Taylor of 62 years and son, Jeffery Taylor.

Survivors include her sons, Bennie “Butch” Taylor, Jr. of El Dorado and Keith Taylor of Spearsville, LA; daughter, Nena Snow (Albert) of Fordyce, AR, son, Raymond Taylor of Junction City, LA; grandchildren, Clay Hendricks, Jake Taylor, Katie Simpson (Kenneth), Wendy Taylor, (Casey Wood), Audrey Miller and Bailey Thomas; and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, December 15, 2016 at Young’s Funeral Directors.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 16, 2016 at Antioch Church of Christ with Bro. Tommy Bennett and Bro. Paul Dunn officiating. Burial will follow at Antioch Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
