Bernardo Joe Perez

Bernardo J. Perez of Lakeside passed away after a short illness on Friday, October 7th at the age of 77. Bernardo, known to family and close friends was known by his nickname, Beaver, was born on September 1, 1939 in San Diego, CA, to Pedro Parez and Crisosita Valdez. Beaver worked as a heavy equipment operator for 40 years until his retirement in 2008. Since his retirement he enjoyed visiting with family and friends and tending to his beautiful gardens.

A devoted Husband, father and grandfather, Beaver’s kind heart and humble nature will be missed by his Son Tony, Daughter in law Tricia, grandson Nicholas and granddaughter Amber and by his daughter Kathy, son in law Steve, grandson Zack and granddaughter Kaitlyn. He now joins his wife of 39 years, Brigid, who passed before him.

Visitation will be held from 4:00p.m to 8:00p.m Thursday, October 13, 2016 at El Cajon Mortuary in El Cajon. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 14, 2016 at 11:00am, also at El Cajon Mortuary. A burial service will be held immediately following the funeral services at El Cajon Cemetery, 2080 Dehesa Road El Cajon.

We will miss our beloved dad, Pop Pop and friend who truly was our wind beneath our wings.
