Wayne Larocque

Wayne is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Alexandra, dear father of Andrea (Jolyon Stack) and Kevin (Coral), proud grandfather of Patrick, Danielle, Caelam, Naomi, Amelia and Elliott. He is also survived by his 8 brothers and sisters and many dear nieces and nephews.

Born in Glen Sutton, Quebec, he was a banker at heart working with the CIBC for 35 years. Always generous, he was a member of many charitable and volunteer organizations, including serving as long-term treasurer of the CIBC Pensioners’ Association.

One of his passions was woodworking and carpentry. He assisted many with various projects and shared his talents with family and friends. Wayne never really left the farm, returning East to help with the maple sugaring each spring.

Wayne and Alexandra also explored the world together from Iceland to the Cape of Good Hope, from Russia to Vietnam.

Family and friends are invited to join the family for a Funeral Service at 6:00 pm on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at Hainstock’s Funeral Home, 9810 34 Avenue, Edmonton AB. Those wishing to pay their respects to Wayne may do so for one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of other tributes, donations in Wayne’s memory may be made to Canadian Blood Services or to a charity of one’s choice.
