Nadiya Senyuta

Nadiya Senyuta, age 34, of Edmonton, Alberta passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2024. A funeral service for Nadiya will be held Thursday, December 12, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Hainstock's Funeral Home & Crematorium, 9810 34th Ave. Edmonton, AB, T6E 6L1. Reception to follow.

Nadiya was the beloved spouse of Daniel Schwalm, cherished daughter of Taras and loving sister to Yarko. Nadiya was predeceased by her beloved mother, Lesya on February 8 of this year.

Nadiya was authentic, beautiful, and had an everlasting kind soul. Her smile, laugh, and personality were contagious; everyone who knew her, loved her deeply. Nadiya’s life was full of love, laughter, adventure, and unforgettable memories. Nadiya enjoyed every moment, whether it was a trip to Italy, Cuba, road trips for antique shopping, or hiking mountains with Daniel. Nadiya’s care for everyone was genuine, always putting them first, even during her difficult fight against cancer. Nadiya’s love for Daniel, her family, her friends, and her two cats, Molly and Lucy, will be forever cherished and missed beyond measure. Nadiya’s passing has left an irreplaceable void in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. At the same time, there is solace in knowing that Nadiya is finally resting after a long and courageous battle alongside her beautiful mother, Lesya.

Daniel and Nadiya’s family would like to thank the medical staff of the Cross Cancer Institute and the Royal Alexandra Hospital for their care of Nadiya. A special thank you to her oncologist Dr. Joy, as well as her best friends Morgan Smith and Laurel Pring for their unwavering support, care, and compassion, especially during her last few days. Rest in peace, our dear Nadiya.
