He is lovingly remembered by his wife Lois, his children Christina (Donald), George (Lisa), and Lori, as well as grandchildren Bradley (Brittany), Carlyn (Grant) Chelsea, Cody (Cathy), Rachel (Jordan), and Sharon (Mathew). He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren, as well as special niece Susan and her son Christopher.
Mike was predeceased by his parents Nick and Martha as well as siblings Anne (Angela), Francis, John, Johnny, and Marie. Mike obtained his Mechanic's license from NAIT and worked for Simpson Sears, Woodward, and was a long time employee of the Alberta government.
He was a proud Thorsby native who loved curling at Ellerslie, golf, baseball, and playing crib. He was especially fond of watching wrestling on TV and other sports, as well as taking daily walks to collect golf balls.
He also enjoyed traveling with Lois, whether in their motorhome to the United States, or to far off places like Greece, New Zealand, and Europe.
He adored his family and doted on his grandchildren and great- grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him, and as he often said "he wasn't bad for an old fella". Not bad at all, Mike!
