It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Mary Lynne Gould on December 17, 2022 at the age of 70.
She leaves her family and friends far too soon. Mary Lynne is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, John, daughter Kristine (Nic), son Derek (Ann), grandchildren Madyson and Max, sisters Maureen (Herb), Myrna (Gord) and brother Jack (Sharon), and many brother and sister in-law’s, nieces, and nephews. She is also survived by her dear friend Anna Hafner who was like a second mother to her. She was predeceased by her mother and father, Mary and Melville Whetter.
Mary Lynne loved life and will be remembered as a kind, thoughtful, positive, generous person that was always there to support family and friends.
She was a dedicated teacher of 24 years with Edmonton Public School Board and loved teaching first grade.
She loved curling, bridge golf, and playing board games as well as enjoying travel and loved attending her grandchildren’s activities. Her passion was her family and spending quality time with all who she loved.
She made everyone around her feel good with her bubbly personality and positive attitude. Mary Lynne leaves a legacy that sets a standard for all to follow, and she made a positive impact on anybody who knew her. She will be dearly missed.
A Celebration of Mary Lynne's life will be held at on February 11, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. Attendance will be by Family invitation only. Those not invited will be able to view via live streaming. (Join livestream below)
