It is with broken and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Son, Brother, amazing Uncle, and friend to so many, Lawrence Wlasichuk on November 2nd, 2023 at the age of 72. Lawrence fought a courageous battle with cancer, and never lost hope.
Lawrence was born on December 14th, 1950 in Canora Saskatchewan, and spent his adult life in Edmonton, where he was a dedicated and very caring LPN at the Misericordia hospital for 37 years. He was also the prankster of the Misericordia .
Lawrence loved gardening, travelling, animals of all varieties, doing puzzles, taking pictures, making photo albums, and spending as much time as possible with his family and endless amount of friends. Lawrence leaves behind a beautiful legacy full of love, and so many great memories.
Lawrence will be lovingly remembered by his Mother Anne, Sister Cindy(Brian), Brother Dwayne(Sindy); nieces and nephews Angie(Phil), James(Lisa), Carrie(Chris), Brian(Carolyn), Daniel(Savannah), Nicole(Brandon); great nieces and nephews Layna, Cole, Haylee, Alyee, Nya, Ella and Conway, as well as numerous relatives and many friends. Lawrence was predeceased by his Sisters Dalyce and Geri, and Father Ted.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Pilgrims Hospice Society, or an animal rescue shelter of your choice.
A celebration of his wonderful life will be held on Monday November 13th, 2023 at 2:00pm at Hainstocks Funeral home 9810 34 Ave. The service will also be live streamed for those unable to attend in person. Please wear something green (his favorite color) to honor Lawrence
