John is lovingly survived by his wife Susan Pettigrew of Red Deer, AB, daughter Holly Pettigrew of Nanaimo, BC, two step-daughters, and three granddaughters.
John was predeceased by his father John Frederick Elliot of Port Huron, Michigan and long time adopted family matriarch, Phillis of St. Albert.
A private service was held and inurnment will follow at a later date.
