We became to know and love the "Lane" family when we met at Woodcroft Elementary School in the 80's.  There were many sleepovers, soccer games, and in recent years great camping trips!

Darran and I had the pleasure of spending a few Christmas Dinners and some family functions, as well we had shared a table together with Barb at Courtney and Arts wedding.  Barb was a lovely, happy lady with a great smile.  You could really, really tell how much she loved and was very proud of all of her kids.  I can see by Art and the way that he is as a young man that Barb was a great Mom and did her job well... Dear Lane family .....how you all must miss her now, we will too but we have great and fond memeoies of the time we have spent with her,

I worked with Barb at Ross Sheppard High School cafateria for a number of years .We lost track of each other since those years. Often wondered where she was. So sorry to hear of her passing. I wish I knew what to say...Mum's strength and patience for everyone was something that most of us pray for. Through all the times that I needed a shoulder to cry on or vent at or just sit with. Barb was there....her advice will stay with me forever. My heart is heavy with her passing....
May Barbs strength help to carry her children through this time. She would be proud of all of you for the amazing people you have turned into.

You will always stand out to us for your incredible strength, which you have passed on to your family, and how you were always so down to earth and a real straight shooter. Being around you made me feel almost like I was at home, and I will... certainly miss my hugs from you Barb. We will never forget how when our son was a very fussy baby you were 1 of the only 2 people outside of our families that could watch Landen. We lost our mother and it's not an easy lost!!! But from experience it does get better as days go by..think of happy times and celebrate her.. I have many great memories of my grandma. she was always the most kindest sweetest women, unless you crossed her.  she was always willing to go the extra mile to help you out, or give you the advise you need.  Whenever i had a problem she was always there to help me out any way she could. I am glad she shared a part in my life. I am glad i got a wonderful mother and wonderful aunts and uncles out of her. All of her children shared the same family values as her. Those values got brought down to the grand children too.  i have so many great memories with her. From all the time i spent with her i found something out. my mom is a spitting image of her. I will miss you dearly grandma.  i just like to say  thank you for everything. i love you so much. i will miss you every day. Love Scott
