Funeral services for Patricia (Pat) Lee Hope will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, Feb. 27, 2014 at Baggerley Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. David Spain will officiate. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Pat was born on January 9, 1925, in Chickasha, OK to Harry and Enid Jean (Nichols) Stoner. She graduated from Duncan high school in 1943. While attending the Univ. of Okla. she met her husband-to-be, Jim Hope. They married on Dec. 24, 1943 and had three sons, Mark, Gary, and Doug. Pat and Jim started in motel business with the Sands Motel in Elk City. They later moved to Oklahoma City where they built & operated the Trade Winds Capitol, South Gate, and two Trade Winds on Reno and Eastern. After retirement, they had homes in Harlingen, TX and Lake San Marcos, Calif. Before Pat returned to Oklahoma. She was a previous member of St. Luke’s Methodist Church in Oklahoma City and most recently attended First Christian Church in Norman. She and Jim were avid golfers and had a love of traveling and seeing the world. She was also a member of Chapter AU of the PEO organization. Pat loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Jim Hope; son Mark Hope; parents Harry and Enid Jean (Nichols) Stoner; and sister Jeanne Perkins. She is survived by her sons Doug Hope and wife Carol, and Gary Hope. She is also survived by her grandchildren Mariah Hope Pinkerton, Zachary Hope, Dustin Hope, Jeffery Hope, James Camron Hope, Joey Hope and nine great-grandchildren and a great-grandson due in April. She is also survived by a nephew Bob Perkins and two nieces, Kathy Snider and Patti Wade.
