He was born on April 21, 1939, in Waco, Texas, to the late Bryan and Pearlie Welch.
Marvin was a devoted husband to his wife Shirley, and a loving father to his three children, Melinda, Amanda, and Matt.
Marvin was a man of strong principles, integrity, and an unwavering work ethic. He believed in the value of hard work, respect, and treating others with kindness. His dedication to his profession and his commitment to providing for his family were evident in every aspect of his life.

In addition to his dedication to work and family, Marvin had a vibrant sense of humor. He found joy in playing Rook with friends and family, his laughter often echoing through the house when he won. He had a sharp wit and loved nothing more than sharing and laughing at political jokes. Marvin had a mischievous side, he enjoyed pulling pranks on his loved ones, always leaving them smiling and shaking their heads.
Marvin's legacy of hard work, respect, and strong principles will continue to inspire those who knew him. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories that will be forever cherished by his family and friends.

Marvin is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Bob Welch.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley, children Melinda Johnson and husband Mike, Amanda Walehwa, and son Matt Welch and wife Michelle, brother James Welch and wife Judy, Grandchildren Joel, Josiah, Ashley, Jacquelyn, Aubrey, Bryan, and Zachary, great -grandchildren Mikaiah, Mia, Matthew, and one baby girl on the way.
A funeral service for Marvin will be held Saturday, June 8, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Community Church, 512 E Seward Rd, Guthrie, OK 73044.
