Julie Ann Barton, a devoted wife, mother, and Nana, passed away on October 8, 2024, in Edmond, Oklahoma, at the age of 77. Born on April 6, 1947, in Roswell, New Mexico, she was the daughter of Jack Mask and Stella Hubby. Julie graduated from Roswell High School and began college at Texas Christian University.
In Roswell, she met Richard Barton, and they married on February 10, 1968. Together, they raised two sons, Bart and Buck. Julie was the ultimate team mom, supporting her boys in every sport they played. She traveled far and wide by car, plane, or boat to cheer them on at games.
Known for her exceptional cooking, Julie always ensured that no one left her home hungry. She enjoyed preparing meals for anyone, anytime. Despite the hectic schedule of attending games nearly every night, she volunteered for numerous organizations, impressing everyone with her ability to balance it all. A passionate baseball fan, she was especially devoted to the Texas Rangers.
Julie is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 53 years, Richard, her parents Jack and Stella, and her brothers Ronnie and Bobby Mask. She is survived by her two sons, Bart Barton, his wife Krystle, along with their children Reagan and Trey of Edmond, Oklahoma; and Buck Barton, his wife Katie, along with their son Jackson of Lubbock, Texas. Julie will be remembered fondly by all who knew her.
