Born in Middletown, NY, he was a son of the late Samuel and Marie (Carpenter) Crosby. He graduated from the Watkinson School, Hartford, CT and earned a Bachelor’s degree from Lehigh University, Bethlehem 1953; earned his M. Div. from The General Theological Seminary and a PhD in Clinical Psychology from Adelphi University. He was ordained an Episcopal priest in 1959.
William spent many years in private practice as a psychologist in New York City. After moving to New Mexico in 1990, he worked as a staff psychologist at the Las Vegas Medical Center until his retirement in 1997, were he worked with children. He loved to cook and travel.
Surviving is his son, David Crosby of Arvada, CO, his daughter: Melissa Dusovic and her husband Marko of East Stroudsburg; 3 grandchildren: Sean Crosby, Engelina and Nicole Dusovic.
Family and friends may gather on Sunday, May 6, 2012 at the home of his daughter Melissa Dusovic, 21 Travis Dr., East Stroudsburg, PA 18302, from 1:00 P.M. till 3:00 P.M. for a memorial gathering. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
