Nancy Jean Townsend

Born October 20, 1947 in Long Valley, NJ, She was the daughter of the late Milton and Mary (Knorr) Wilson.

She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother, graduating from East Stroudsburg High School in 1964, Nancy returned to the high school just two years later to fulfill the role of the East Stroudsburg High School Athletic Secretary. Retiring in 2008, she led a life of adventure and travel with the company of many close friends. Her favorite destination was to the Caribbean where she enjoyed the beach and the slow-paced atmosphere. She enjoyed lunch dates with friends and spending time with her grandson.

In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her sister Marie Marelli and her loving companion of nearly a decade; Duncan, her Golden Retriever.

Surviving is her loving son Dale and wife Kim Townsend of Stroudsburg; Sister: Elsie Hughes of Stroudsburg; Brother: Milton Hughes Jr. of Florida; Grandson: Owen Townsend; and several loving nieces and nephews.

A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family.
