Eloise Carter

Born in New York City, NY on April 1, 1927 she was a daughter of the late Wilfred and Lucille Lunceford Klass. Eloise graduated from George Washington High School, New York City; and Hunter College, New York City, NY where she earned her bachelor’s degree in social work. Eloise was employed as a social worker at the Department of Social Services in New York City, NY until her retirement.

She married Kenneth H. Carter on July 4, 1940 and that marriage brought two sons Khufu Ankh Hatap Kefri Bauz, and Ahker Re Amueu Carter.

She will be missed by her husband Kenneth, Bushkill; sons, Khufu Ankh Hatap Kefri Bauz, and his aife Karen and Ahker Re Amueu both of the Bronx, NY; grandchildren Victora Carr-Carter Yahuda Carter, Robiyab Carter-Black and her husband Marshall, Elliyaas Carter, Hajaar Carter, Mutawakill Carter, Zahrah McFaggen, Semaa Claiborne, Umar Claiborne, Ishmawiyl Claiborne, Uthman Claiborne, Sarah N Carter, sister in law Carol Ann Robinson and a host of family and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday February 3, 2013 at the Lanterman & Allen Funeral Home, Inc. 27 Washington Street, East Stroudsburg at 2:00 P.M. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home on Sunday February 3, 2013 at 1:30 P.M.
