William Dean Baker, 88, of Ooltewah, TN passed away Tuesday, October 17, 2017. He was a native of Menlo, Georgia and a graduate of Central High School in Chattanooga. Mr. Baker was a veteran of the US army serving two years during the Korean War. He was a graduate of the University of Chattanooga with a degree in electrical engineering. He was retired from TVA after 30 years of service as an electrical engineer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Jessie Denton Baker.
Survivors include several cousins, Helen Rankin and many other close friends.
Graveside services will be held at 2 PM Thursday at Ami Cemetery in Menlo, GA. The family will receive friends from 9am-12pm Thursday at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road, East Ridge, TN.
