Thomas D. Bowne

Thomas D. Bowne, 80, of East Ridge passed away Monday, July 14, 2014 at his home Surrounded by his family. He was born in New Castle, Indiana to the late Lowell and Helen Muterspaugh Bowne. Mr. Bowne enjoyed his family, traveling and volunteering with service organizations. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Volunteer Masonic Lodge and the York Rite. In 2009 he was Grand High Priest of the York Rite Chapter for the State of Tennessee. He was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Hixson Chapter #310.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Jane Bowne; children, Maureen Evans (Mike Hemsley) of Bay St. Louis, MS, David (Stephanie) Bowne of La Crosse, WI, Scott (Dee) Bowne of Marietta, GA, Beth Voiles of Chattanooga, TN and Eric (Crystal) Bowne of Conway AR; nine grandchildren Tom (Sarah), Brianna, Kellen, Torin, Dylan, Avery, Harrison, Kassidy and Lauren; three great-grandchildren, Klay, Olivia and Alexis.

A Masonic memorial service will be held at 10 AM Saturday at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road with the Rev. Mike Roberts officiating. The family will receive friends from 9-10 AM at the funeral home.
