Robert Michael "Mike" Clark, 67, of East Ridge died peacefully December 11, 2024. Despite his rough exterior, he was fiercely loyal, honest, supportive, and protective of those closest to him. He never missed a moment to tell you about how proud he was of his kids and grandkids or to brag on his wife's talents. Dad taught us not only basic life and survival skills, but also how to be decent and kind human beings, helpers, and doers. He was the embodiment of an outdoorsman, hunter, fisher, trapper, and conservationist.
His legacy will be continued by his wife of 48 years, Connie Harris Clark, daughter Alicia (Justin) Burgett, sons Chase (Maria) Clark and Tyler (Morgan) Clark, grandchildren Caleb, Ian, and McClain Burgett, Josefina Helm, and Papa's little buddy Chase Clark, Jr.
He was preceded in death by his Father, Raymond Clark, and his Father and Mother in Laws B.L. and Edna Harris. He is also survived by his Mother, Joann Kelso Clark, sisters Debbie (Larry) Hawley, Dedie (Tres) Scheibe, Patty (Perry) Kinsey, and a slew of nieces and nephews.
As he would have wanted, there will not be a formal memorial service. His ashes will be scattered so he may rest in the same quite stillness of the forest in which he raised us. There will be a cookout for his closest family and friends after the holidays.
In lieu of flowers, please take a child hunting, fishing, or hiking. Donations in Mike's honor may be made to the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation www.rmef.org/donate Tennessee Wildlife Resources Foundation https://twrf.net/ or the National Wild Turkey Foundation https://www.nwtf.org/
