Marie was born May 1, 1942, in Pulaski, VA to the late Burley and Imogene Semones. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Burley Jean Moore; and her brother, Ronnie Semones.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Donna Hughes Bond, Jackie Hughes Jr., and Jeff (Ashley) Hughes; grandchildren, Heather (Tom) Bond Swanson, Jordan (Mathieu) Hughes James, and Carrington Hughes; and many nieces and nephews.
Her sister, Marguerite (Gene) Rupe; and brothers, James Semones and Larry Semones loved her very much.
She was much loved in her community in Milledgeville, GA, for more than 40 years where she enjoyed bowling and being a part of the Baldwin County clean community. Marie was employed at Georgia Power for many years.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 3, 2022, at Highland Memory Gardens, 5555 Lee Hwy, Dublin, VA 24084.
