Karyn Christine Heath, 46, of Chattanooga passed away Sunday, February 4, 2024. She was a member of Westside Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Calvary Christian School and Northland Baptist Bible College. An adventurer, Karyn moved back to Chattanooga approximately 10 years ago to care for her aging parents after working in Alzheimers Care in Rockford, Illinois. Prior to that, she taught English for a university in China and had taught High School English and History in Rockford, Illinois. She spent time doing missions work in France and was very involved in her home church, Morning Star Baptist Church in Rockford, Illinois.
Beloved by everyone she met, Karyn was a book lover, loved to write, was a great story-teller, and loved to sing.
She was preceded in death by her father, Tom Heath; brother-in-law, Chad Crisp as well as her aunts, uncles, and grandparents.
Survivors include her mother, Patricia (Tom) Cheatham and three sisters, Leah Crisp, Beth (Matt) Paul and Tammy (Mario) Garcia; niece and nephews, Lake and Honey Crisp, Heath and Hagen Schubert, and Max, Ty, and Jack Garcia.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Saturday, February 10, 2024 at Westside Baptist Church with the Rev. Mark Garard officiating. The family will receive friends from 11 AM until 1 PM Saturday at the church. Burial will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens, Hixson, Tennessee.
