Jean was born in Monroe County Tennessee. At the early age of 18, she traveled to Washington, D.C. for her first job working for the FBI, where she met and married Edward Conway. They both returned to Tennessee shortly after their first daughter was born and she has remained in Tennessee since that time. She owned her own accounting business in Hixson, Tennessee.
She was preceded in death by her husband Eugene Doyle; daughters, Elizabeth Ellen and Donna Marie Conway, and sons, Thomas John Conway and Randall Eugene Doyle; parents, Thomas Dewey and Flora Ellen Maupin; brother, James Earl Maupin and sister, Shirley Ann Lewis.
She is survived by her son, Steven Edward Conway; brother, Wendell {Jane) Maupin of Cleveland, TN; sisters, Carolyn Chewning of Murfreesboro, TN, and Debbie Wetzel of Ringgold, GA; 12 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and their families.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 21st. The family will receive friends and family at 1 p.m. with services following at 2 p.m., at the East Chapel of the Chattanooga Funeral Home.
Arrangements are under the care of Chattanooga Funeral Home Crematory and Florist East Chapel, 404 South Moore Rd. East Ridge, TN 37412.
