Mr. Bryant was born in Chattanooga, TN on October 20, 1945, to the late William McKinley Bryant and Lucille I. Norman Bryant Roach. He was a member of Chamberlain Memorial Baptist Church where he belonged to the Open Door Sunday School Class. He was also a graduate of Ringgold High School and earned his BA in Mathematics from UTC. Mr. Bryant was a US Army Veteran of the Vietnam Era and worked in Military Intelligence at the Pentagon. He retired at age 62. Mr. Bryant enjoyed a career in sales, including IBM, self publishing, and insurance. In addition, Mr. Bryant, with his wife owned and operated Yogurt University and Deli in Riverview.
Survivors are his wife of 39 years, Carolyn B. Bryant; sons, Aaron (Tiffany) Bryant of Chattanooga and Daniel (Valerie) Bryant of Colorado Springs, CO; Grandchildren, Kassi, Ellie, and Nathan Bryant; sister, Brenda (Bob) Bonine; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 PM on Sunday, September 19, 2010 at the funeral home.
Funeral Services will be at 10 AM on Monday at Chamberlain Memorial Baptist Church (4239 Benton Drive, Chattanooga, TN 37406) with Pastor Jake Carroll officiating and visitation one hour prior to the service.
Burial will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery with full military honors by American Legion Post 95.
Pallbearers will be Howard Bowman, Jr., Thomas Reeves, David King, Doug Brumlow, Justin Watts, and Joe Brown.
