Betty Jean Wiseman, a lifelong resident of Chattanooga passed on Saturday, September 24, 2011 after suffering two serious strokes. She has resided at St. Barnabas apartments since 2007. Betty grew up in North Chattanooga and all her adult life she lived downtown. She is survived by her nephew Charles E. (Eddie) Wiseman, his wife Jean and six children and eleven grandchildren, as well as two cousins, Fred Arnold and Ralph Miller.
Her parents were Charles B. Wiseman and Sarah Levan Wiseman. Her brother, Charles Bill Wiseman, Jr. died in 1988. She was a member of Northside Presbyterian Church since childhood. Betty was a faithful and loyal secretary for Charles O. Hon Jr. and Charles O. Hon III for 53 years at Title Guarantee and Trust Company. Betty was a friend and devoted supporter of the Yellow Deli and its people for 37 years. Her sincere kindness and warm smile will be missed by all who knew her.
There will be a graveside service only at the pavilion in Chattanooga Memorial Park on Memorial Drive in White Oak on Tuesday, September 27th at 3:30 pm.
