She was born on February 12, 1968, in East Ridge. Anna graduated from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and later went on to receive her Master’s degree. She had an accomplished career at TVA with 30+ years of employment. Anna had a passion for life and adventure. She loved to travel and compete in various marathons and triathlons. One of her favorite accomplishments was competing in and completing an Ironman Triathlon.
Anna was and will continue to be a bright light for all that knew and loved her. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, friend, and follower of Jesus Christ. Her strength and courage is both an inspiration and a testament to her faith. She touched so many lives with her passion for life and her ability to love like Jesus. Anna is dearly loved and will be deeply missed.
Anna is preceded in death by her father, Sgt. Robert Black; her mother, Juanita Black Medlen; and her grandparents, Burkett and Leola Black.
Anna is survived by her former spouse, Brian Morgan; and their children, Jacob Morgan, Bethany (Christian) Bond, and Zachary Morgan; her grandchildren, Xavier Bond and Indie Bond; her aunts, Martha (Fred) Simonton and Mary Dover; her uncle, Paul Black; her niece, Mary Black; and her cousins, Dr. Fred H. (Mary Alice) Simonton, III, Douglas Dover, and Samantha Simonton.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 4 PM on Sunday, September 11, 2022, at Chattanooga Funeral Home – East Chapel. A visitation will be held from 2 to 4 PM before the celebration on Sunday, September 11, at the funeral home.
