Thelma V Wright

She was born on June 28, 1924 in Noblesville, IN to Anson L. and Icy Myrtle (Small) Lohr. She married Harold Holliday on November 15, 1941 in Indiana and he preceded her in death. She then married Kencil Ethridge on October 23, 1951 in Macomb, IL. He preceded her in death on April 24, 1980. She then married Charles Wright on July 8, 1984 and he preceded her in death on October 1, 1999 in Peoria. Her parents and her step-son Ross Etheridge also preceded her in death.

Surviving are three children, Bill Ethridge of Peoria, Ron Holliday of Westfield, IN and Bonnie Lambert of East Peoria. Also surviving is one step-daughter, Wanda Ethridge of Peoria, six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and numerous foster children.

Thelma worked for over 20 years as a housekeeper at Friendship House in Peoria and then worked in Housekeeping at Methodist Hospital. She was a member of the American Legion Post 1234 Women’s Auxiliary, Order of the Eastern Star, the Eagles Lodge in Peoria and the Moose Lodge in Canton. She served as a Boy Scout Troop Leader at the Friendship, she enjoyed dancing and she was of the Methodist Faith.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, November 13, 2011 from 5 to 7 pm at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. A funeral service will be on Monday, November 14, 2011 at 11:00 am at the funeral home with the Rev. Garland E. Criswell officiating. Burial will follow the service at Parkview Cemetery in Peoria
